Zobo
A flavorful Nigerian zobo beverage is created by steeping dried hibiscus flowers, infused with ginger and cloves, and can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Instructions

Combine dried hibiscus and cloves in a pot with 4 cups of water.

Blend ginger with 1 cup of water until smooth, then incorporate it and an additional cup of water into the pot.

Optionally, steep the covered mixture for 2 to 8 hours to enhance flavor and color.

Bring the contents to a boil for 10-12 minutes, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove from heat, cool completely, then strain.

Transfer the strained liquid into jugs or bottles; sweeten with ginger simple syrup prior to serving.
