Yeast Beer Bread
A flavorful beer bread that is ideal for snacking, game day appetizers, or as an accompaniment to chili.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 F.

Dissolve yeast in water.

Combine beer, cream cheese, sugar, salt, and the dissolved yeast in a large bowl, then stir.

Mix in 2 1/2 cups flour, then turn onto a floured board and knead in the remaining 1/2 cup flour until the dough is soft and smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 60 minutes, or until doubled.

Punch down the dough, then knead it on a floured board for 1 minute.

Form the dough into a loaf, place it in a buttered bread pan, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes, or until doubled.

Score the loaf with three slashes across the top.

Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool the bread on a rack.
