Wild Rice Crock Pot Chili

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add onion and garlic for 4 to 5 minutes. Drain the mixture well.

  2. Transfer the beef, onion, and garlic to a 4 to 5-quart crock pot. Add wild rice, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, water, chili powder, cumin, and pepper.

  3. Stir to combine, ensuring the wild rice is immersed in the liquid.

  4. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, or until the wild rice is tender.

  5. Serve the chili, optionally topped with sour cream and shredded cheese.
