Wild Mushroom Cream Sauce

Instructions

  1. Soak mushrooms in hot water for 15-20 minutes; strain, reserve liquid, and finely chop mushrooms.

  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Sauté shallots until tender, then add garlic for 1 minute.

  3. Add chopped mushrooms and reserved liquid; simmer until liquid nearly evaporates (1-2 minutes).

  4. Stir in cream and ground thyme; simmer 4-5 minutes until reduced and thickened.

  5. Season with salt and pepper; stir in parsley and serve.
