Whole Baked Sweet Potatoes
Baked sweet potatoes are prepared by seasoning them with either savory spices or a sweet cinnamon-sugar blend.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425 F and line a baking pan with foil.

Scrub and dry sweet potatoes, then prick each with a fork and rub with oil.

Arrange potatoes on the lined pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until fork tender.

Cut a 1 1/2-inch "X" in the center of each potato and gently press from the sides to open.

Top with butter, salt, and pepper; optionally season with paprika or a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
