Vietnamese-Style Stir-Fried Sweet Shrimp Recipe

Instructions

  1. Devein shrimp while keeping shells on, then rinse and pat dry.

  2. Heat peanut oil and sesame oil in a saut the pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Add shrimp and honey or brown sugar; stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes.

  4. Add garlic, shallot, and chile peppers; stir-fry another 1 to 2 minutes.

  5. Pour in stock (or water), fish sauce, and salt; raise heat to highest setting.

  6. Boil until the pan is nearly dry, about 1 to 2 minutes.

  7. Serve at once, garnished with cilantro over rice if desired.
