Vegetarian Wontons

Instructions

  1. Preheat deep-frying oil to 360-375 F.

  2. Drain and mash the tofu; separately beat egg with salt and pepper.

  3. Combine mashed tofu, vegetables, beaten egg, soy sauce, ginger, sugar, and sesame oil; mix thoroughly.

  4. Place a teaspoon of filling on each wonton wrapper, wet the edges, fold into a triangle, and seal.

  5. Deep-fry wontons for approximately 2 minutes until golden and crispy.

  6. Serve hot with hoisin or soy sauce.
