Start boiling water with 1 teaspoon of salt; cook pasta according to package directions.

Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 to 1/3 cup cooking water. Add beans to the pot, cover, and set aside.

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté diced onions, minced garlic, fresh chopped basil, oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper for 3 to 5 minutes until onions soften.

Transfer the sautéed mixture to the pasta pot over low heat. Stir in paprika and tomato sauce until blended and heated through, adjusting liquid consistency with reserved water as needed.
