Instructions

  1. Bring vegetable broth to a simmer in a large pot.

  2. Add mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, soy sauce, pepper, hot sauce, vinegar, and garlic; simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. Stir in scallions and simmer for 5 more minutes.

  4. Mix in chili oil.
