Vegetarian Baked Spaghetti Casserole

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bring a large pot of water to a boil.

  2. Cook spaghetti for 1 to 2 minutes less than package directions, then drain thoroughly without rinsing.

  3. Pour 2 cups of spaghetti sauce into the bottom of a 13x13-inch baking dish.

  4. In a large bowl, beat the egg and milk, then mix in 3 cups of spaghetti sauce.

  5. Add the drained spaghetti to the egg and sauce mixture, stirring to coat. Incorporate the remaining 1 cup of sauce if additional moisture is required.

  6. Spread the spaghetti mixture evenly in the prepared pan and sprinkle with shredded cheese.

  7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until bubbly and the cheese is golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  8. Slice and serve.
