Vegan Pesto Without Nuts (French Pistou)
A flavorful vegan basil sauce, similar to pesto but free of nuts and Parmesan cheese.

Instructions

Rinse and dry basil leaves, then remove any large stems.

Combine basil leaves, garlic, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil in a blender or food processor.

Process until blended, then slowly add the remaining olive oil while blending until smooth.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

Store the finished sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to one week.
