Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
-
Warm nondairy milk, then combine with yeast in a large bowl and rest for 5 minutes until frothy.
-
Cream 1/3 cup margarine, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and flour, then knead for 8 minutes.
-
Form the dough into a ball, place in a greased bowl, and let rise in a warm location for 1 hour.
-
On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 16x20-inch rectangle.
-
Whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, and 1/3 cup margarine until fluffy for the filling, then spread evenly over the dough.
-
Roll the dough tightly lengthwise into a 20-inch log and cut into approximately 12 pieces.
-
Place slices in a 9x13-inch baking pan, cover loosely, and let rise for 30 minutes.
-
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are dark golden brown.
-
Prepare icing by whisking vegan cream cheese, 1/4 cup margarine, confectioner's sugar, vanilla, and water until fluffy.
-
Remove rolls from the oven, immediately invert onto a clean sheet, then cool for 10 minutes before spreading the icing. Serve warm.
