Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F with a rack in the center.

  2. Microwave blueberries for 2 minutes, stirring and mashing every 30 seconds until collapsed and juicy; let cool.

  3. Beat butter and sugar in a stand mixer on medium-high speed for at least 3 minutes until fluffy, scraping the bowl as needed.

  4. Add cooled blueberries, baking powder, and salt; beat on high for 5 minutes, scraping the bowl.

  5. Mix in chocolate chips and flour on low speed until most flour is incorporated, then fold in any remaining flour until combined.

  6. Scoop dough into 12 (2-tablespoon) balls; place them 1 inch apart on 2 parchment-lined baking sheets.

  7. Bake one sheet at a time for about 9 minutes until edges brown and tops are dry, rotating halfway through. Repeat with the second sheet. Serve warm or at room temperature.
