Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F with a rack in the center.

Microwave blueberries for 2 minutes, stirring and mashing every 30 seconds until collapsed and juicy; let cool.

Beat butter and sugar in a stand mixer on medium-high speed for at least 3 minutes until fluffy, scraping the bowl as needed.

Add cooled blueberries, baking powder, and salt; beat on high for 5 minutes, scraping the bowl.

Mix in chocolate chips and flour on low speed until most flour is incorporated, then fold in any remaining flour until combined.

Scoop dough into 12 (2-tablespoon) balls; place them 1 inch apart on 2 parchment-lined baking sheets.

Bake one sheet at a time for about 9 minutes until edges brown and tops are dry, rotating halfway through. Repeat with the second sheet. Serve warm or at room temperature.
