Vegan Blackened Grilled Tofu

Instructions

  1. Prepare a medium grill fire (350 F to 375 F) and oil the grates.

  2. Slice pressed tofu into four 1-inch thick pieces.

  3. Marinate the tofu in soy sauce in a covered, refrigerated dish for at least 30 minutes, turning once or twice.

  4. Combine paprika, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme in a bowl; mix well to create the blackening seasoning.

  5. Remove tofu from marinade and generously coat each piece on both sides with the seasoning.

  6. Grill the tofu for 8 to 10 minutes total, until blackened on both sides.
