Vegan Black Bean Veggie Burgers Recipe

Instructions

  1. Mash black beans in a large bowl until mostly smooth.

  2. Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a skillet and sauté onions for 3 to 5 minutes until soft.

  3. Combine the sautéed onions with mashed beans, crumbled bread, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and salt and pepper; mix thoroughly.

  4. Gradually incorporate flour into the mixture, working it with your hands for 2 to 3 minutes until a firm texture is achieved.

  5. Form the mixture into four 1/2-inch thick patties.

  6. Heat the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons oil in a skillet over medium-low heat and pan-fry patties for 3 to 5 minutes per side until firm and browned.

  7. Serve burgers on buns with preferred toppings.
