Veal Steaks With Caramelized Onions

Succulent veal steaks are pan-fried or grilled and complemented by sweet caramelized onions.

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring frequently, until deeply browned, about 20 to 30 minutes.

  2. Coat a grill pan or large skillet with 2 to 3 teaspoons olive oil and heat over medium-high.

  3. Rub steaks with cut garlic, then season with salt and pepper.

  4. Cook steaks 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

  5. Serve the cooked veal steaks on a bed of caramelized onions, topped with additional onions.
