Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 3 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently; cool for 20 minutes.

  3. In a large bowl, combine 3 beaten large eggs, 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

  4. Stir in the cooled chocolate and 1 cup chopped pecans.

  5. Pour the filling into an unbaked pie shell.

  6. Bake at 350 F for 50-55 minutes, or until a skewer inserted near the center comes out clean; cool completely on a wire rack.

  7. Drizzle with chocolate and caramel sauces, garnish the edge with 1 cup whole pecans, and serve with vanilla ice cream.
