Turmeric Rice Recipe

Instructions

  1. Rinse basmati rice under cold water until clear, then drain well.

  2. Warm oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in turmeric, curry powder, and the rinsed rice until well combined.

  3. Add raisins, chicken broth, and soy sauce to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes until the rice is tender, without lifting the lid.

  5. Remove from heat, fluff the rice with a fork, then cover and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
