Turkish Noah's Ark Pudding Asure Recipe

Instructions

  1. The night before, place wheat in a pot, cover with water, boil for 10 minutes, then turn off heat and let soak overnight.

  2. The next morning, add chickpeas, beans, rice, dried fruits, sugar, and optional rose water or citrus zest to the pot.

  3. Add water to cover ingredients, bring to a boil, and stir until the mixture thickens.

  4. Remove from heat, pour into bowls, cool completely, then cover and refrigerate for several hours.

  5. Prior to serving, garnish with pomegranate seeds, pine nuts, chopped dried fruits, and groundnuts.

  6. For a firmer consistency, incorporate 1 to 2 teaspoons of powdered gelatin during cooking.
