Turkish Melted Cheese and Cornmeal (Mıhlama)
A traditional Black Sea Turkish breakfast, Mıhlama or kuymak, features melted cheese and cornmeal, perfect for scooping with bread.

Instructions

Melt butter in a pan; let it bubble for a few minutes.

Add cornmeal, stirring continuously until golden brown and butter oil separates.

Pour in water and bring the mixture to a boil.

Slowly incorporate grated cheese, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until butter appears on the surface.

Serve immediately with bread.
