Instructions

Preheat a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat, then add oil and sauté onion for 2 minutes.

Stir in bell pepper, jalapeño, and garlic; sauté for an additional 2 minutes.

Mix in chili powder, cumin, and oregano, cooking for 1 minute.

Add tomatoes with juice, pinto beans, turkey, and broth; stir and season with salt and pepper.

Increase heat to bring the soup to a simmer.
