Turkey Cordon Bleu

A baked Turkey Cordon Bleu features tenderloin stuffed with Havarti cheese and coated in breadcrumbs.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.

  2. Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.

  3. Cut turkey tenderloin into 6 pieces; make a 1/2-inch lengthwise slit in each, then open and pound to 1/2-inch thick.

  4. Combine melted butter and mustard, then brush on the cut sides of the tenderloins.

  5. Place cheese in the center of each open tenderloin over the mustard; close and secure with toothpicks.

  6. In one shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, flour, Parmesan, thyme, and salt. In another, mix cream and egg.

  7. Dip stuffed tenderloins in the egg mixture, then roll in the crumb mixture to coat.

  8. Place coated turkey in the prepared dish and bake for 40-45 minutes until 165 F. Remove toothpicks before serving.
