Instructions

  1. Heat broth in a large pot until boiling.

  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then cut in butter until pea-sized.

  3. Stir buttermilk into the mixture to form a soft dough, avoiding overmixing.

  4. Flour a surface, roll dough to 1/4-inch thick, and slice into small squares.

  5. Add dumplings to the boiling broth gradually, allowing some flour to thicken the broth.

  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes until dumplings are tender and the broth has thickened.
