Tuna Steaks With Lemon Cream Sauce

Instructions

  1. Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat a heavy skillet over high heat with olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter.

  3. Sear tuna steaks 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown, aiming for 125-145F internal temperature; remove and keep warm.

  4. Reduce heat to medium, then sauté onions with remaining butter until translucent.

  5. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring.

  6. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, then cook until liquid reduces by half (2-3 minutes).

  7. Stir in heavy cream, simmer 3 minutes until thickened, then add drained capers.

  8. Serve tuna steaks with lemon cream sauce, garnished with dill and lemon or lime wedges.
