Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F (220 C/Gas 7).

  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter, sauté onion until tender, then blend in flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, herb seasoning, paprika, and thyme.

  3. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thick and bubbling. Fold in tuna, vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, and cheese; taste and adjust seasoning.

  4. Pour the mixture into a lightly buttered 2-quart baking dish.

  5. Roll out pastry to cover the dish, cut several slits in the top, and place it over the filling, sealing the edges.

  6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the filling bubbles and crust turns golden.
