Traditional Lebanese Rice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot with a lid, brown vermicelli noodles in butter over medium-high heat, stirring often.

  2. Add rice and water to the pot, bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.

  3. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork, season with salt and pepper, and mix in optional parsley or toasted pine nuts before serving.
