Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 170g brown sugar, honey, and 80g water; bring to a boil.

  2. Remove from heat, stir in both flours and salt, then cover and rest the dough at room temperature for one day.

  3. Mix in the remaining 20g brown sugar, ground aniseed, 20g water, and baking powder; roll the dough to 1 centimeter thick on a floured surface.

  4. Preheat the oven to 410 degrees F (210 degrees C).

  5. Cut dough into shapes using a mold or cutter, then arrange on a lightly greased baking sheet.

  6. Brush shapes with beaten egg and bake for 12 minutes.

  7. Serve.
