Tomato Casserole With Onions and Cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

Boil onions covered in water for 10 minutes, then drain.

Layer half of the tomatoes, onions, salt, pepper, basil, and cheese in the prepared casserole, then repeat for the remaining ingredients.
