The Ultimate Juicy Lucy Burger (aka "Jucy" Lucy)

Instructions

  1. Divide ground meat into two portions and form each into a very flat patty.

  2. Chop cheese into four small squares and stack them.

  3. Place stacked cheese on one patty, then cover with the second patty, sealing the edges to enclose the cheese.

  4. Season the assembled patty with salt and pepper.

  5. Heat a greased frying pan to medium-high and place the burger inside.

  6. Cook one side until crispy and halfway done, then flip and cook the other side for about 7 minutes, or until the cheese melts.

  7. Remove the pan from heat and cover it with a lid.

  8. Spread mayo and mustard on both bun halves, then assemble the burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion.

  9. Slice the burger in half before serving.
