Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes until the onion softens and beef is no longer pink; drain excess fat.

  2. Transfer the beef and onion mixture to a slow cooker, then add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, pinto beans, chili seasoning mix, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper; stir thoroughly.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

  4. Serve the chili warm.
