Thai Pork Satay

A simple Thai pork satay recipe that serves well as an appetizer, snack, or a main course dish.

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden satay sticks in water to prevent burning.

  2. Cut the pork into thin strips, approximately 1 to 3 inches wide.

  3. Combine all other ingredients for the marinade, stirring well until the honey dissolves; taste and adjust spice as desired.

  4. Pour the marinade over the pork, mix thoroughly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 24 hours.

  5. When ready, skewer the marinated pork lengthwise onto sticks, leaving one end as a handle.

  6. Brush grill grates with oil, then grill the satay for 5 to 7 minutes per side, until browned, sizzling, and cooked through while remaining tender.
