Texas-Style Smoked Brisket

Instructions

Preheat your smoker to 225 F to 250 F (108 C to 120 C) and add wood chips.

Rinse and dry the brisket, then apply the Texas-style rub.

Smoke the brisket for 8 to 10 hours.

For added tenderness, remove the brisket once it reaches 170 F, wrap it in foil, and return it to the smoker (or an oven at 180 F to 200 F) for two more hours or until it reaches 190 F.
