Texas Cowboy Beans

Instructions

Wash and drain the beans, then place them in a large pot.

Add water, tomatoes, brisket, onion, barbecue sauce, jalapeños, garlic, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and cumin to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally from the bottom.

Stir in salt, cover, and continue simmering for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender.

If the sauce is too thin, uncover and cook for 15 to 25 minutes more to thicken.

Adjust seasoning as needed and serve.
