Instructions

  1. Toast cumin, coriander seeds, cloves, and cinnamon sticks in a dry pan over low heat until aromatic; remove and cool.

  2. Grind the cooled toasted spices along with ginger, garlic powder, chili powder, turmeric, mace, salt, and optional food coloring until a smooth powder is formed.

  3. Store the finished spice mixture in an airtight container for up to 8 weeks.
