Taco-Rubbed Flank Steak

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or broiler to high.

  2. Whisk 2 tablespoons chili powder, 2 teaspoons ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon sugar in a small bowl.

  3. Rub the juice from 1 medium lime into the flank steak, then fully coat the steak with the spice mixture.

  4. Grill or broil the steak 5 to 6 inches from heat until desired doneness, cooking approximately 5 minutes per side for medium-rare and up to 15 minutes per side for well-done.
