Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and butter a 2-quart baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix well.

  3. Spoon the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter for the topping; mix thoroughly.

  5. Sprinkle the pecan topping over the sweet potato filling.

  6. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until hot, set, and the topping is browned; tent with foil if browning too quickly.
