Preheat the oven to 350 F, then grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.

Beat eggs for 5 minutes until thick and lemon-colored, gradually adding sugar.

Sift dry ingredients together, then alternately stir them in with the cream and vanilla; beat well.

Evenly spread the batter into the prepared pans.
