Suzi's Strawberry Soda Pop Cake

Instructions

  1. Start boiling water for the gelatin mixture.

  2. Prepare and bake the cake mix in a 13x9x2-inch pan as directed.

  3. While the cake is warm, puncture it every 2 inches with a fork.

  4. Dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, then stir in the strawberry soda.

  5. Pour the gelatin-soda mixture over the warm, punctured cake.

  6. Once cooled, spread whipped topping over the cake.

  7. Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
