Stuffed Mushrooms With Clams Appetizer

Preheat broiler.

Remove mushroom stems, mince them, and arrange caps rounded-side down on a lightly oiled rack in a broiling pan.

Drain clams, reserving their liquid.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brush some melted butter onto the mushroom caps.

In the remaining skillet butter, simmer minced stems, garlic, and reserved clam liquid for 4 to 6 minutes until stems are tender.

Stir in clams and all remaining ingredients, then spoon the mixture into the mushroom caps.

Broil for 7 to 9 minutes, until mushrooms are tender and the stuffing is browned.
