Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.

  2. Remove mushroom stems, mince them, and arrange caps rounded-side down on a lightly oiled rack in a broiling pan.

  3. Drain clams, reserving their liquid.

  4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brush some melted butter onto the mushroom caps.

  5. In the remaining skillet butter, simmer minced stems, garlic, and reserved clam liquid for 4 to 6 minutes until stems are tender.

  6. Stir in clams and all remaining ingredients, then spoon the mixture into the mushroom caps.

  7. Broil for 7 to 9 minutes, until mushrooms are tender and the stuffing is browned.
