Strawberry Trifle

A beautiful layered dessert, this easy strawberry trifle combines cake, pudding, and fresh berries for a delightful treat.

Instructions

  1. Rinse, hull, and thinly slice strawberries; toss with granulated sugar and let stand for 30 minutes.

  2. Whisk vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes, then let it stand for 5 minutes.

  3. Fold whipped topping into the pudding until blended.

  4. Strain strawberry juices and set aside.

  5. In a 3-quart glass bowl, layer one-third each of cake cubes, pudding mixture, and half of the sweetened strawberries.

  6. Repeat this layering once, concluding with the remaining strawberries.

  7. Place remaining cake cubes over the last strawberry layer, drizzle with reserved juices, and top with the remaining pudding.

  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
