Instructions

  1. Warm 1 1/2 cups milk in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat until bubbles form around the edges, avoiding a boil.

  2. Reduce heat to medium-low, add cooked rice and sugar, then simmer covered for 15-20 minutes.

  3. Stir in remaining milk, egg, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and raisins; cook for 5 minutes, stirring until thick.

  4. Garnish with cinnamon and serve immediately, or cool and refrigerate.
