Instructions

  1. Prepare a steamer for cooking.

  2. Combine flour and salt, gradually adding about 6 tablespoons of water to create a stiff dough; knead until smooth, then cover.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook until golden.

  4. Brown the meat, then incorporate soy and chili sauces, mixing well.

  5. Season with pepper and salt, cooking until the pork is done, then let the filling cool.

  6. Divide the dough into 16 equal balls and roll each into a thin 4-inch circle.

  7. Place one tablespoon of cooled pork filling in the center of each circle, moistening the edges with water.

  8. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming desired dumpling shapes.

  9. Steam the dumplings for 10 to 15 minutes.

  10. Serve immediately with tomato achaar and Thukpa.
