Steak Sandwich

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler to high.

  2. Pound the flank steak, season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, then marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3 minutes per side. Remove, then tent with foil to keep warm.

  4. In the same pan, melt butter over medium-low heat and sauté onions for 20 minutes until caramelized.

  5. While onions cook, whisk together mayonnaise, horseradish, garlic, and sour cream for the mayo.

  6. Brush ciabatta rolls with oil and toast under the preheated broiler until golden.

  7. Slice the cooked steak against the grain.

  8. Spread horseradish mayo on the toasted rolls, then layer with steak, cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula. Serve immediately.
