Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and pepper.

Heat a cast iron skillet on high, add 1 tablespoon butter, then sear the steak for 3 minutes without moving it.

Flip the steak, add another tablespoon of butter, and crack two eggs into the pan; season the eggs with salt and pepper.
