Steak and Cheese Sandwiches
Shaved steak sandwiches feature tender beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a quick meal.

Preheat the broiler.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Cook sliced onion and pepper until wilted; remove and set aside.

Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in the skillet. Cook steak, stirring, for about 2 minutes until desired doneness; season with salt and pepper.

Place toasted sub roll bottoms on a baking sheet and spread with mayonnaise.

Layer the roll bottoms with steak, then the cooked onion and pepper, and a slice of cheese.

Broil until the cheese is melted. Cover with sub roll tops and serve.
