Instructions

  1. Cut 3 orange chewy fruit candies diagonally twice, then halve each resulting triangle lengthwise to create 24 thin beak shapes; for feet, cut 12 orange chewy fruit candies in half, then halve widthwise, then trim one edge of each to form 24 foot shapes.

  2. Line a baking sheet with waxed or parchment paper.

  3. Melt 16 ounces yellow candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  4. Dip each cookie completely in the melted coating, allow excess to drip off, then place on the lined baking sheet.

  5. After dipping 3-4 cookies, immediately press one beak on top, two candy eyeballs above the beak, and two feet into the bottom of each cookie before the coating hardens.

  6. Repeat dipping and decorating for remaining cookies, then refrigerate the tray for 15-20 minutes to set the coating.

  7. Serve the set cookies immediately.
