Instructions

  1. Prepare the squash by removing the stem, then spiralize or julienne it into spaghetti-like strands and cut them to a manageable length.

  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Add the prepared squash and garlic to the skillet; cook, stirring continuously, until the squash is slightly softened.

  4. Stir in the chopped basil for 30 to 60 seconds, then season with salt and pepper to your preference.

  5. Toss the squash with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately, providing extra Parmesan for sprinkling.
