Instructions

Soak rice cakes in cold water for one hour.

In a pot, combine 3 cups water with kochujang, kochukaru, garlic, sugar, and soy sauce, then bring the mixture to a boil.

Add fish cakes and return to a boil.

Stir in mushrooms, cabbage, and the soaked rice cakes.

Bring to a final boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes before removing from heat.

Serve the duk boki.
