Spicy Indian Steak
A simple Indian beef steak recipe features a rich spice blend of coriander, cumin, turmeric, mustard seeds, and pepper for a flavorful kick.

Instructions

Mince gingerroot, onion, and garlic in a blender or food processor.

Grind coriander, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and mustard seeds until powdered, then stir into the minced onion mixture.

Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and spice mixture, reduce heat to medium-low, and sauté until fragrant.

Remove the onion mixture from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

Spoon the cooled mixture onto steaks, turning to coat.

Refrigerate the covered steaks for 2 to 24 hours.

Prepare and preheat an outdoor grill.

Remove steaks from the marinade and cook over medium-high coals for 10 to 15 minutes, or until at least 145F.

Remove steak from grill, cover with foil, and let stand for 5 minutes.

Thinly slice steak across the grain to serve.
