Instructions

  1. Prepare a gas or charcoal grill for indirect heat, adjusting the active burner to medium-high (400-475 F).

  2. Tuck chicken wing tips to prevent burning.

  3. Combine garlic salt, cayenne, black pepper, and dried oregano in a resealable bag; add wings and toss to coat.

  4. Refrigerate coated wings for 15-20 minutes.

  5. Place wings over direct heat on the hot grill for 5 minutes, turning frequently, grilling in batches if necessary.

  6. Transfer wings to the indirect side and grill for 20-25 minutes, turning once, until an internal temperature of 175-180 F is reached.
